We had our home burglarized last 4th of July. They took our flat screen, my laptop and a folio that had all my credit cards. Within an hour of the break in they put about $2K on my cards. At the time I went all Michael Corleone: "In my house! Where my family sleeps!" Fortunately, no one was home and whatever was stolen was easily replaced thanks to insurance. I took new measures to protect my home, but only to protect my family. You can take my 'stuff', I'll get new 'stuff' and since electronics are usually the hot items, the new stuff will probably be better. We haven't let it us affect the way we live, but it the reality of it all is sad.
