Reading is Fundamental (E-mail FAIL)

by Mr. Man on May 16, 2010

I’m having my second cup of coffee as I “swype” on my phone. I got to church two hours and a half earlier than I needed to be here…

No problem really. I like my church and the way I feel when I am here, but this is what I get for not reading my emails carefully.

Every two weeks, I get an email notifying me of the date and time that I have to serve at church as director. Pretty standard. I’ve gotten to the point where I barely read them. I just accept them. As I did in this case.  One small problem, folks…

They were asking me to work this past Friday for an awards program for the sports ministry, not this Sunday morning. I totally did a no-show because of my reading FAIL.

So here I am. Two days late for my call time or a week early for my next one (I’m a “glass half-full” kinda dude). Enjoying my second cup of coffee. Writing this post on my phone. Missing out on a little extra sleep this morning.

Here is the moral of the story, kids:

Invest in a phone that will allow you to blog because you failed to pay attention to an email that you should have read but you didn’t so now you are up two and a half hours earlier than necessary so you decided to write a blog post.:-)

  • I could see that happening to me. I don't pay enough attention to anything. You should have taken a nap. Better before church than during the sermon.
  • We all have those kind of days and Epic Fails. At least that's what I tell myself every time I have one.
